Fines reduced by half in Abu Dhabi

Many Abu Dhabi residents have faced that shrinking feeling when they return to their car and find a ticket waiting for them silently on the windshield. While some of us might rush to pay these fines, many others have fallen subject to procrastination and have allowed the sums to accumulate. In an effort to help violators settle their debts while encouraging the adherence to Mawaqif parking regulations, the Department of Transport has announced a 50 percent reduction if fines issued before December 2, 2012 are settled by February 1, 2013. So there’s no more excuses.
