Global creativity and design festival, Semi Permanent, is coming to Abu Dhabi

This October, the biggest creativity and design festival in the southern hemisphere, Semi Permanent, is coming to Abu Dhabi and you absolutely need to be there.

This will be the first time Semi Permanent appears in the Middle East as part of Abu Dhabi Collectors Week organised by Retail Abu Dhabi in partnership with The Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi).

At Semi Permanent Middle East, you can expect to find three days of talks, performances, dining experiences, art installations, and screenings from a standout lineup of acclaimed global creative talent. The festival will run from Thursday October 14 to Saturday October 16 at Manarat Al Saadiyat and tickets are on sale now.

The event will feature world-renowned performers including Mark Ronson: the Oscar and Grammy-winning songwriter, record producer and DJ, who will perform an exclusive DJ set.

Perron–Roettinger, the incredible design firm behind Drake, Rihanna, and Kanye West concerts, have designed the space and event experience. Plus there will be an array of inspiring, immersive and multi-sensory experiences that you definitely shouldn’t miss.

The Flower Shop pop-up from the iconic restaurant of the same name will transport you to New York’s Lower East Side while you stop for a bite or a sip in its first-ever international pop-up.

La Rosa Social Club is a pop-up art exhibition of Los Angeles-based filmmaker, art curator and cultural icon Aaron Rose. The pop-up will make its debut in the Middle East with a host of contemporary artmakers to see, including Ryan McGinley, Tom Sachs, Johanna Jackson and more.

Immerse yourself in Refik Anadol’s moving lifeforms at the Refik Anadol Installation, with work that is the first of its kind in the region. The Semi Permanent Middle East talks programme will pull back the curtain on the world’s leading artistic talent, including DJ and songwriter Mark Ronson, musician Dana Hourani, artist Refik Anadol, fashion designer Bunyamin Aydin of Les Benjamins, artist Jason Seife, couturier Andrea Brocca, photographer Hussain Al Moosawi, and artist Nourie Flayhan.
