Abu Dhabi’s new Jumeirah Al Wathba Desert Resort & Spa is open and it looks stunning.
Just a 30-minute drive from the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, the resort takes inspiration from a historic desert village.
Inside there’s a spa, villas with private pools, Arabian-inspired rooms, a pool, and six restaurants and bars.
Activities on offer fat-biking through the dunes, archery and desert treks, and there will be falcon shows every evening. The resort’s pool stretches into the desert and expands into inlets and coves (one of which includes a swim-up pool bar).
When it comes to food you’ll find Middle Eastern, Italian and Mediterranean cuisines, a poolside bar Panache, and a Bedouin camp, as well as a rooftop bar.
