There’s always something new being developed in Abu Dhabi and that’s what makes it exciting to live here.

Whether it’s Al Qana and the National Aquarium, CLYMB on Yas or Al Wathba Wetland Reserve’s flamingo watching tower, we can’t wait to see the capital evolve.

On Reem Island, developers Imkan are behind a project called the Makers District.

It’s a mixed-use waterfront development with homes, places to eat and shop, and more as well as a big public square.

Designed by Dutch firm MVRDV, it will be 85,000 sq ft and aims to encourage communal living by celebrating the cultural traditions of the UAE.

Here are some artists impressions. We think it looks great and look forward to checking it out once it’s completed by the end of 2021.
