Enjoy great food and top events with Abu Dhabi Culinary Season 

There’s a lot of great food coming your way in November so we hope you have a good appetite. Across November Abu Dhabi Culinary Season is bringing big events to the city including Yas Mega Mela, Taste of Abu Dhabi, the Tastemaster Series and of course, the Time Out Abu Dhabi Restaurants Awards 2019. Ready to eat amazing dishes, meet celebrity chefs, try limited-edition menus and find out were the best restaurants in the city are? Keep your eyes peeled to Time Out Abu Dhabi and we’ll keep you in the loop, in between bites, of course. 

Feast at Taste of Abu Dhabi 

Taste of Abu Dhabi is back in Abu Dhai from November 7 to 9. Among the celebrity chefs attending this year are Masterchef host John Torode, Michelin-starred chef Jean Christophe Novelli, Kunal Kapoor and Eric Lanlard who will be making appearances and doing live cooking performances alongside some of the top chefs from Abu Dhabi. Guests will also be able to try dishes from a range of Abu Dhabi restaurants including Dai Pai Dong, Butcher & Still, Sambusek, Roberto’s and Namak by Kunal Kapoor. Providing some musical entertainment, legendary English reggae band UB40 and UK boyband super group BoyzLife will perform across the weekend. Festival goers will also be able to get their hands dirty at the Big Baking Tent, sign up for cooking challenges, shop at the food pavilion and more. We can’t wait.

Be in the crowd for the biggest concerts of the year 

Of course, every year as F1 Weekend comes along all eyes are on du Arena as some of the world’s biggest musicians come to town for the Yasalam after-race concerts. This year has lived up to the hype yet again as performance from Marshmello, Travis Scott, Lana Del Rey and The Killers, will light up the stage on Yas Island. Tickets are not on public sale but are available with tickets to the Grand Prix. We’ll see you down the front.

CLYMB, the indoor skydiving and climbing wall venue, will open its doors to the public on November 29 – right at the start of F1 Weekend. The venue, located at Yas Mall, will feature the world’s largest indoor skydiving chamber that spans 32ft and the world’s tallest indoor, air-conditioned climbing wall that stands at 140ft. Four walls of varying difficulty will also feature in the venue alongside the giant 43-metre course. The venue is also set to feature a number of retailers, food and beverage outlets and a party space. We can’t wait for this one. We’ve already marked our calendar.

Join WALK 2019 

WALK 2019 is returning to Yas Island on November 15 for its thirteenth edition. Aiming to encourage everyone to lead a more active lifestyle, people of all ages and abilities are invited to take part in the 5km walk around Yas Marina Circuit. Hosted by the Imperial College London Diabetes Centre in honour of World Diabetes Day, more than 20,000 people are expected to join in and take a stroll around the world-famous track. The day also includes other fun fitness-related activities such as Zuma, Pilates and yoga, plus the chance for families to have a go on a climbing wall, trampolines and a range of giant inflatables. You can pick up some healthy eating tips from the cooking demonstrations, grab a bite from one of the food trucks and there will even be a magician on hand to entertain the kids.

See some of the best players in the world 

Football is big in the UAE and with the FIFA World Club Cup over the last two years Real Madrid’s superstars have been in town to put on a show. Want to see more world-class football live? The Brazilian national team will be in Abu Dhabi as part of their global tour to face South Korea in a glamour friendly. The match, to be played at Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium on November 19, will see some of the world’s best players come to the capital. A full-strength Brazilian team is expected to play the match including Paris Saint Germain’s Neymar, Bayern Munich’s Coutinho, Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino and more. Among the South Korean team are stars including Tottenham hotspur’s Son Heung-Min, Red Bull Salzburg’s Hwang Hee-chan and Valencia’s Lee Kang-in.

Explore Abu Dhabi Art 

Abu Dhabi Art 2019 will be taking over Manarat Al Saadiyat from November 21 to 23. The visual campaign for the 11th edition of the arts festival will also feature artist and writer Ebtisam Abdulaziz, who will be expanding on her on-going project Life in a Bag. Organised by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), the fair will feature a programme of exhibitions, art installations, workshops and performances. This includes the Beyond series which will feature both commissioned and emerging artists and the annual Gateway exhibition of local and international artists. Meanwhile, the Talks Programme will offer a series of stimulating cultural talks, conversations and book launches featuring some of the art world’s leading figures. Abu Dhabi Art Community Partners and non-profit cultural organisations will also be offered spaces within the fair to highlight their initiatives, presenting displays that respond to the theme of Year of Tolerance.
