Aldar HQ
Shaped like a giant coin, Aldar HQ is instantly recognisable and one of the most impressive buildings we’ve ever seen, never mind just in Abu Dhabi. The building was even previously voted ‘Best Futuristic Design’ by the Building Exchange Conference. The 23-storey, 110-metre-high structure was also named by international building organisation Emporis as ‘One of the World’s Most Dazzling Corporate Offices’ for its innovative design, visual impact and function. We couldn’t agree more, it’s pretty cool.

Al Bahr Towers
We’ve heard them called the beehives and the pineapples by people over the years for their unique appearance. We’re here to tell you that the pineapples are actually called Al Bahr Towers and the smart design is more than just impressive on the eye. The two towers are encased in a protective skin on 2,000 umbrella-like elements that automatically open and close depending on sunlight. The adjustable shades reduce heat inside the building and the eco-friendly design made the buildings the first to be awarded the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver rating.

CLYMB

It may be new but with an ambitious design and striking appearance it’s hard not to notice the diamond-like shape of CLYMB when you’re on Yas Island. Home to the world’s biggest indoor skydiving flight chamber and the world’s tallest indoor climbing wall, SUMMYT, with a 43m sloping face, the building is as intriguing inside as it is from the outside.

Masdar City

Ok, it’s not a single building but a collection of eco-friendly buildings that make up the sustainable city. There are a myriad of designs all mingled together and it’s a great spot to wander around and see the contrast in styles and shapes that make Madsar City a unique space, not only in Abu Dhabi but the world over.

Zayed Grand Mosque

You’ve probably visited numerous times over the years, we know we have, but it’s hard not to marvel at the incredible craftsmanship that’s gone into making Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. From the intricate details, marble works and stunning domes, the popular attraction and place of worship is truly the jewel in Abu Dhabi’s crown.

W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island

You’ve seen it on TV every time the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix rolls around and the stunning hotel is one of the most impressive buildings in the emirates. With its web-like façade that lights up at night to the F1 track that surrounds and cuts through the structure, it’s a unique building and a brilliant place to visit all year round.
