An Air Arabia flight had to make an emergency landing at Pakistan’s Karachi airport after a fire broke out on its cargo section.
Flight-521, carrying at least 155 passengers and crew, was flying from Sharjah to Chittagang in Bangladesh when the pilot received an indication smoke was in the cargo hold.
He sought an immediate emergency landing at Jinnah International Airport and once safely landed all passengers were evacuated, Pakistan’s Daily Times reports.
A spokesman for the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said no fault was found when the Airbus-320 was checked and the flight continued safely to its destination.
