At least two tourists in a hot air balloon are believed to have died when the balloon crash landed in bad weather conditions Sunday morning, according to a report in Gulf News.
The balloon, carrying approximately 14 passengers, crashed into the Al Ain desert early this morning. One person is believed to be seriously injured.
The injured have been taken to Al Tawam hospital in Al Ain.
An official from Balloon Adventures Emirates, which operates the balloons, said that the incident is being investigated by the police and civil aviation authorities, but refused to comment further.
