There’s a tasty new pub grub menu at this Abu Dhabi favourite this summer

Victor’s has upped its game and we’re all in

We love making a trip to Victor’s for a hearty meal, a catch up with friends or to check out some cool live music.

But now that there’s a new menu to work through, we feel like we’re just going to have to start spending even more time there.

The menu was always packed with pub grub classics such as pies and burgers, but now it has had a serious revamp.

You could be forgiven for thinking that just because this chilled-out spot is totally down to earth, with quiz nights and the best live sports showing up on the big screens, that it couldn’t ever serve up anything more fancy than a plate of good-old fish and chips.

But that’s where you’re wrong.

The pub has kept all its much-loved staples, but added some light and creative flavours.

If you’re more into tasty dips than fried nibbles, you’ll adore the fresh flavours of the vibrant hummus trio. The smooth avocado, sun-dried tomato and beetroot starters sound utterly devine, and look just as good as any you’d find in a fine-dining restaurant.

Or, if you’re trying to keep things really clean, the market salad contains an explosion of different colours, with grilled chicken joined by beetroot, cherry tomatoes, carrots, feta cheese and more.

But don’t worry, it’s not all so healthy.

In fact, the crunch burger takes carb loading to a whole new level. The beef pattie is layered with homemade thick-cut crisps before being sandwiched in a burger bun, and dished up with a portion of skin-on fries.  It’s basically a crisp sandwich with a burger thrown in, and we couldn’t approve more.

The cheese balls also seem too good to possibly resist, and the crispy coating and melted cheese should go perfectly with the mustard mayonnaise and sweet-chilli dips.

The desserts are just as indulgent, and we can’t stop dreaming about the creamy and crunchy layers of the almond Toblerone cake.

It’s all definitely worth the calories.
