Get creative this weekend at Warehouse421

You can take part in arty workshops and discussions this Friday and Saturday

Looking for something different this weekend (June 21 and 22)?

Well, arty hub Warehouse421 is putting on a Creative Weekend that’s packed with exciting interactive workshops and interesting panel discussions.

The two-day event is running alongside the current exhibition Nomadic Traces: Journeys of Arabian Scripts, which looks at how alphabets developed in the Middle East.

The sessions are open to anyone aged 16 and above, and the workshops focus on Arabic calligraphy, three-dimensional typography, ceramic building by hand and writing and drawing ancient Arabian scripts.

Finally, two discussions will also take place on Saturday.

The UAE: 10,000 Years of Adaptation, Technology and Social Cohesion will examine recent archaeological discoveries in the UAE, while Relevant Graphic Design: Communicating Regional and Cultural Narratives will discuss how graphic design shapes and spreads messages.

The panel discussions are free to attend and each workshop costs Dhs240 per person.
