How to enjoy the best of the capital today without spending a fil

Hit the beach on the Corniche

It’s heating up, there’s no doubt about that, but you can still enjoy a few hours in the sunshine before you need to retreat indoors.

Head to the Corniche public beach and you can soak up some rays and take a dip in the ocean while admiring the amazing views of Lulu Island and the Abu Dhabi skyline.

Just remember to top up that suntan lotion.

Check out  a new exhibition at Warehouse 421

Want to see some interesting photographic work? Lest We Forget: The Universality of Family Photographs exhbition opens today and it explores the similarities between family photographs that have been taken all around the world, from the UAE to Spain.

On display from today until July 28, the collection is an extension of the pieces that were included in the gallery’s 2015 exhibition Lest We Forget: Emirati Family Photographs 1950 – 1999.
