A convoy of supercars, classic motors and bikes will pass the city’s major landmarks, led by the police’s fleet of exotic cars, as part of the Dubai International Motor Show in November.
Organisers are holding a Dubai Grand Parade which will feature the force’s sports cars, including a Mercedes SLS, a Bentley Continental GT, a Ferrari FF, a Lamborghini Aventador and an Aston Martin One-77, of which only 77 were made. The price of the Aston is almost Dhs8 million and it can reach speeds of 320kph (which should put off any criminals from trying to out run the law).
And, if that isn’t enough, the world’s fastest car, the Bugatti Veyron, will also be on display.
The parade will take place on November 8 and will run from The World Trade Centre to the Burj Al Arab, ending up at DIFC. If, unlike us, you have a suitably snazzy set of wheels, we hope you registered to participate before the closing date last week.
