Emirates to introduce meal pre-booking on flights

Take control of dinner time with the option to choose ahead of your trip

Sitting at the back of the plane often means you’re left with whatever’s left on the trolley at meal time. Thankfully (at least for those of us who aren’t organised enough to pre-book a seat up front), Emirates is introducing plans to change that.

According to The National, Emirates’ head of in-flight catering Joost Heymeijer told UAE radio that pre-booking your meal on future flights is going to be reality.

It’s part of a shake-up of the airline’s in-flight meal options. The soon-to-launch Premium Economy class, which is set to be available in 2020, will also allow customers to dine from the Business class menu, instead of the one for economy passengers – talk about going up in the world, eh.

It all means that, hopefully before too long, we won’t be left with whatever’s left after everyone else has had their pick.

In other travel news, you can now drop your baggage at The Dubai Mall ahead of your trip to Dubai International Airport.
