Five brilliant restaurant deals to try this weekend

There’s not long left to take advantage of Tastes of the Capital

It’s the beginning of a long weekend in Abu Dhabi, so why not make the most of the extra days off and head out for a slap-up meak or two. 

There are some amazing deals available as part of Tastes of the Capital powered by Time Out Abu Dhabi

More than 50 restaurants are taking part in the campaign, which we’re running with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi until August 15. 

Here are five set menus we think you should try this weekend. 

Cho Gao Marina Walk
The cool and atmospheric dining room is the perfect place to keep cool this summer, and the pan-Asian dishes are just as brilliant as the Asian artefacts and decorations. Every course in the four-course set menu is a total joy and a huge saving on the regular price. For Dhs199 you’ll get wasabi prawns, curry laksa, beef rendang and mango sticky rice. Bargain.

Filini Garden
This is one of the most fun venues taking part in Tastes of the Capital. The trendy Yas Island hotspot has an amazing air-conditioned terrace which offers great views over Yas Links. Head here early evening to watch the sunset, or stay on long into the evening to enjoy tunes from a live DJ. The food on offer for the set menu is burrata pesto ruccola e pomodoro, mushroom and ricotta ravioli or beef fillet medallions with pink peppercorn and parmesan crust then tiramisu.

Dahab Restaurant & Lounge
This brilliant venue specialises in authentic Lebanese cuisine as well as hosting weekly live music nights and a spectacular Friday brunch. For Tastes of the Capital is is offering set menus for Dhs99, Dhs199 and Dhs299, and each is filled with colourful hot and cold mezze, tasty grilled meats and more.The dishes on offer include hot and cold mezze, a mixed grill and Levantine desserts.

D’Capital Steakhouse
Dining at this classy steakhouse at the Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi is always an exciting occasion. The cuts of meat are all of the highest quality, while the decadent desserts are ideal for anyone with a bit of a sweet tooth. The set menu includes salmon carpaccio and crispy-fried soft shell crab with kimchi mayo, mains include a Tender Valley 200 days grain-fed Australian tenderloin topped with foie gras, gratin potato, roasted thyme infused mixed vegetables and mushroom sauce or herb-crusted salmon, jumbo asparagus, crunchy mixed vegetables and chimichurri sauce. The meal is finished off with mango and coconut pannacotta with berries and pepper crumble.

Rangoli
The classy Indian restaurant at the Yas Island Rotana hotel serves authentic dishes that filled with delicious spices. If you’re a fan of Indian food then you really can’t afford to miss out on this great deal. Dishes included in the set menu include assorted poppadoms, chutney and relish, onion bhaji, hariyali tikki, butter chicken and Kashmiri rogan josh, served with basmati rice, choice of naan or roti and kulfi.
