Five delicious meals to try in Abu Dhabi tonight

Try these restaurants for as little as Dhs99 for three courses

There are some brilliant restaurants in Abu Dhabi and we’re here to bring you ways to eat at them for less. 

With the Tastes of the Capital powered by Time Out Abu Dhabi campaign, that’s exactly what you can do. 

There are more than 50 restaurants taking part in the programme, which we bring you in partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi. 

Each venue is offering at least three course for either Dhs99, Dhs199 or Dhs299. 

Here are five we think you should check out tonight. 

Café Sushi
This cool and casual Japanese restaurant at the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr has a huge sushi conveyer belt running through the dining room. As you watch the chefs preparing the fresh sushi in the centre of the belt, you can also enjoy a range of other authentic dishes, all made with the freshest ingredients. This set menu includes dishes such as spinach and dry miso salad, volcano roll and blow torch sushi, yaki soba noodles, grilled oriental-spiced baby chicken and coconut sago with mango sorbet.

Choice Cut
This stylish steakhouse at the Novotel Abu Dhabi Al Bustan is a sophisticated place for a meal. With fine cuts of meat, expertly made dishes and friendly staff, it has everything you need for a dreamy night out. Dishes on offer include warm duck breast with mango cannelloni, watercress, hazelnut, prune jelly and duck jus herb-crusted rack of lamb, potato gratin, rosemary jus and ratatouille, beef bourguignon with onions and mashed potato and chocolate and fresh raspberry delight.

Li Jiang
Found inside one of Abu Dhabi’s fanciest hotels, The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal, this pretty restaurant specialises in South-East Asian dishes. You’ll find everything from spring rolls to dumplings, while the noodles are some of the finest in the capital. Dishes include the following: Beijing-style seafood dumpling with crispy shallots and superior ginger soya, tom yum goong shrimp, lemongrass, enoki and straw mushrooms, coriander, Thai chilli paste, Vietnamese rice paper roll with chicken, shrimp, Asian herbs and homemade chilli fish sauce, wok-fried spicy chicken, shrimp pad thai, ginger lotus sea bass, black pepper beef, ime sago and lemongrass crème brûlée, deep-fried ice cream.

Tamba
Found in The Hub at WTC Abu Dhabi, this creative restaurant serves some of the most creative Indian dishes we’ve ever seen. There’s a sense of theatre to the presentation, and it’s a safe bet that you’ll adore every mouthful. There are two different menus available here, both featuring amazing dishes. YOu can expect the likes of spicy tuna with avocado and chur-muri, chicken 65, smoked chicken in tomato gravy, pan-fried sea bream with caramelised lemon, breads, biryani, tiger prawns and the restaurant’s brilliant Break-Up dessert.

Villa Tocana
Found inside The St. Regis Abu Dhabi, this is one of the most glamorous places to eat in the capital. Oozing with Italian class and charm, everything from the superb cheeses to the homemade pasta is absolutely sensational. There are two menus available here, including dishes such as buffalo mozzarella, tomatoes, Tuscan extra-virgin olive oil, 10-year-old balsamic vinegar, handmade artichoke and ricotta ravioli, warm artichokes, Jerusalem artichoke sauce and truffle butter, wild black bass, king oyster mushrooms, aubergine and turnip crackers, gtrilled rack of lamb marinated in fresh rosemary and mint and the Villa Toscana raviolo of pitigliano and magnum tiramisu.
