Try these delicious set menus tonight

We’re entering the final few days of Tastes of the Capital powered by Time Out Abu Dhabi. 

That means time is running out to try the amazing set menus at more than 50 of the city’s very best restaurants. 

The campaign, which ends on August 15, is brought to you in partnerhsip with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi. 

We know, choosing from 50 can be a little overwhelming, so here are five places we recommend trying tonight. 

BOA Steakhouse
Overlooking the beautiful Eastern Mangroves National Park, this modern steakhouse is lucky enough to have a totally stunning setting. But you shouldn’t just come here for the amazing views. The cuts of meats, fresh salads and tempting desserts are all expertly prepared and taste tremendous, too. DIshes available here include tuna tartar, 63 degree yolk steak tartare, scallops, US prime ribeye, US black angus tenderloin or US prime striploin (all cuts served with your choice of rub, sauce or side), grilled Loch Fyne salmon, homemade mascarpone cheesecake and molten chocolate sphere.

Benjarong
Dining at this elegant Thai hotspot at the Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi is always brilliant from start to finish. The vibrant dishes are full of fresh ingredients and flavours, and the recipes are as authentic as any you’d find in Thailand. Courses include thr Benjarong assortment – hoy jor (deep fried crab meat wrapped with tofu skin) and yam mamuang sod (green mango salad with cashew nuts), tom jued woonsen gai sub – clear glass noodle soup with minced chicken, celery, onion and mushroom, kung phad pong kari – wok-fried king prawn with onion, celery and yellow curry powder. Served with egg fried rice and bua loy kub ei-tim kati – sweet flour balls served with coconut ice cream.

Fishmarket
The centre point of this nautical-themed restaurant is the huge display of fresh fish. Here you’ll find every kind you can imagine, and it’s all expertly prepared and served up with some exceptional side dishes too. The views over the marina make the whole experience more lovely.  Why not tuck into this great value four-course men including seafood tempura, seafood tom yum, grilled marinated lobster and sea bass with grilled vegetables and saffron rice ad fruit cocktail.

La Mamma 
Found at one of the capital’s veteran hotels, the Sheraton Abu Dhabi Hotel & Resort, this traditional Italian restaurant is always super welcoming. The menu includes much-loved Italian classics, and you also upgrade your meal to include selected house beverages for Dhs199. Dishes include beef tartare, paccheri pasta and tiramisu.

Todd English’s Olives
Situated in the Venetian Village at The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, this trendy Mediterranean restaurant has a cool bar area and wide open terrace that’s perfect for al fresco dining during the cooler months. The high-quality dishes are full of fresh ingredients, and the set menu stars some of the renowned chef’s most popular recipes. Here you can choose from cauliflower bisque, lemongrass poached prawns, charbroiled American beef striploin, European sea bass and passion fruit panna cotta.
