It is now Dhs10 to get into Abu Dhabi’s Umm Al Emarat Park

Visitors to the park will now have to pay double for entry

Looking after a family can sometimes be expensive in Abu Dhabi, especially at this time of year.

Back to school means new uniforms, lunchboxes, stationary and all the rest.

Then when it comes to keeping little ones busy the costs can rack up too, although we don’t have to tell you that after a long hot summer in the UAE.

In order to “expand their offerings”, popular community park Umm Al Emarat Park has announced an increase in the entry price.

Effective from September 1, visitors to the park will have to pay Dhs10 instead of Dhs5.

With entry prices doubling some regular visitors may look to purchase annual passes to save money.

A gold card that allows unlimited access for 12 months costs Dhs499.

In addition, a silver card, costing Dhs200 allows the cardholder and immediate family members 25 access tickets for the year.
