Last year, it was announced that SeaWorld Abu Dhabi would be the latest attraction to open on Yas Island. And now, Miral, the company responsible for the construction, has today announced that SeaWorld Abu Dhabi is on track to open in 2023.
SeaWorld Abu Dhabi will be the first outside the United States, and the first park not to house orcas.
The mega development, which will include the UAE’s first dedicated marine research, rescue, rehabilitation and return centre, will be located next to the marine-life theme park. And today it was announced that the landmark project has reached 90 percent complete.
Once open, the centre will be used to support regional and global conservation efforts, and be home to live studies into indigenous local species such as dugongs and sea turtles.
The 183,000 square metre park will cover multiple levels and offer an immersive experience for visitors from the UAE, the Middle East and across the world.

The central “One Ocean” realm of SeaWorld Abu Dhabi links six distinct marine environments throughout the park, all of which tell a unified story based on the interconnectivity of all life on earth and in our ocean.
Guests will be immersed in fascinating ocean stories presented in a fully immersive media experience, learning how much of the ocean’s marine life impacts us.

The park is set to open in 2023.
