Butcher and Still

Since opening the steakhouse has had a reputation for delivering excellent food and on our visits it’s never disappointed. Out to see what the weekend brunch has on offer we’re excited to see if it can live up to it’s own high standards. Judging by the number of people dotted around the room we’d say they’re on to a good thing and they know it. We’re excited to get stuck in to brunch, and you should be too.

Hidden Bar

What’s a weekend without brunch? It’s the city’s favourite pastime for good reason, and the capital is pulling out all the stops at the minute, with weekend bashes launching all over the city. And if you’re the type that can’t get out of bed before noon, then you’re in luck as this one runs all the way through until 9pm. Just pick your three-hour slot, set your alarm for PM and you’re good to go.

December

Back Yard Bistro

Back Yard Bistro doesn’t do half measures but while the indoor space is committed to an Americana theme, but the outdoors is another matter entirely. The alfresco space is much more relaxed and less cluttered. As unusual as it may be, but it’s also very popular and since starting in October, Friday’s hip-hop brunch has been a sell-out every week. The tables are all full (and socially distanced) and the atmosphere is lively, which is great to see considering the year the city’s bars and restaurants have endured so far. If this brunch isn’t on your radar, it should be.

November

Buddha Bar Beach

You’d be hard pressed to find a more picturesque setting in Abu Dhabi than Saadiyat Island. In fact, it’s got to be up there with the most scenic places in the world. Perhaps with the most beautiful location on the resort, Buddha-Bar Beach is one of the highlights. Inside the venue you’ll find modern, sleek fittings, with Asian design and influence running throughout. The outdoor terrace, however, makes the most of the beachside setting. It’s open plan, so the blues and the greens of the panoramic ocean view can’t be missed. The venue has built a solid reputation for delivering great Asian food, expertly crafted mixed drinks. The Friday brunch is one of the most popular in the city and if you haven’t been yet we’d ager that you’re seriously missing out.
