Japanese restaurant Matsu in Abu Dhabi launches brunch

Enjoy a free-flowing brunch at the Yas Island restauran

Here in Abu Dhabi, we love a new brunch deal – especially when the weekend hits.

So you can imagine our delight when we heard that Japanese restaurant Matsu has opened a new weekend brunch feast.

Matsu, on Yas Island, will host the Sakura brunch every Friday. It’s Dhs399 for the soft drinks package and Dhs499 for free-flowing house beverages. Anyone who’s looking for more premium beverages can expect to pay Dhs599.

The food includes a selection of light bites such as traditional miso soup, seafood tartar, hiyayako (diced tofu in katsuo soy dressing), matsu salada (cherry tomato, grapefruit, mixed leaves and miso dressing) and potato and kani salada (crab meat, mashed potato, carrot and cucumber with Japanese mayo dressing).

If tempura dishes are more your thing then you can also opt for things like volcanic shrimp or spicy calamari as appetisers before moving onto the main courses which feature everything from chicken tori teriyaki, gyuniku (chargrilled beef steak with harrisa butter) to creamy Japanese coconut curry.

Whatever you pick, you won’t leave hungry.
From Dhs399. Every Fri, 1pm-4pm, Matsu, Yas Links Golf Club, Yas Island (02 556 0096).
