The Courtyard Playhouse is launching an online course for kids in the UAE

Teens and parents can sign up to virtual acting lessons

The Courtyard Playhouse is now offering and online drama course for kids across the UAE.

If you’ve got a little drama king or queen in your house (don’t we all?) then you might want to check these virtual acting lessons out. Oh, and mums and dads can sign up too… A lovely family bonding opportunity

The course is called Improv Online and is taught by professional instructors who promise to take you from the fundamentals of improvisation, all the way through practising the exercises with your fellow classmates, to doing your own improvised scenes. All whilst in quarantine and at your own pace… nice!

At the end of this course (and once people are permitted to leave their homes) you will have a showcase on the Courtyard Playhouse stage where you will meet everyone else who took the course and perform your very own improvised scenes in-front of an audience.

The course is suitable for all levels of actor from beginners who are new to improv, as well as those who have taken an improv or acting course before.

The course, which is lead by Courtyard Playhouse artistic director, Marie Vercruyssen, and comedian/instructor, Rushdi Rafeek, can be completed in your own time, but the recommendation is to set yourself a target of completing it in six weeks.
