Go on a virtual guided tour of Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

You can now look around the stunning mosque from the comfort of your own home

As we continue to practise social distancing and stay home during the coronavirus pandemic, many cultural attractions and landmarks have adapted to the situation by offering virtual experiences to enjoy at home, the latest being Abu Dhabi’s iconic Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.

The mosque is a global cultural destination, having hosted millions of visitors and worshippers from around the world since opening.

Now that it is temporarily closed, in line with precautionary measures taken in the UAE amid COVID-19, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre has introduced new remote guided cultural tours for residents and people around the world to enjoy from their homes.

All government and private institutions in the city have been asked to apply for an exclusive remote cultural tour by registering via the centre’s website and you can, too.

In fact, the centre has allocated time slots for live cultural tours broadcast from the mosque on Instagram for followers around the world to view.

The Instagram live tours are currently scheduled to take place on Tuesday in Arabic, and on Saturday in English, at 11am. So make sure you follow the official Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre Instagram page here to tune in.
