British comedy legend Jack Dee will headline Dubai Opera in January

It’s a one-night-only show

British comedy Hall of Famer Jack Dee will be inducing big laughs here in Dubai in the New Year – and its one hot ticket you do not want to miss out on.

With humour drier than any desert, Dee is a legend of the UK comedy circuit, and will be touching down with his no nonsense, boundary-pushing arsenal of gags in January.

He’s headlining Dubai Opera as part of his Off The Telly international tour, and you can be sure Time Out will be front row for his latest rip-snorting show.

Star of TV sitcoms Bad Move, Lead Balloon and Josh, Dee also hosts the UK’s BBC Radio 4 show I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue.

The joke merchant presents some of the UK’s leading Comedy TV shows such as Live At The Apollo and ITV’s Saturday Night.

Known for making very direct, grumpy observations of life, Dee last performed in Dubai over six years ago, and fans are in for a treat for his one-night-only show in January.

Dee is seemingly already cracking one-liners in preparation, and said: “In these difficult and uncertain times, people need hope – a ray of sunshine to brighten their day. And that’s very much where I come in.”

Tickets are already on sale via Dubai Opera, Platinum List and Virgin Megastores from Dhs195.

The exact date hasn’t been confirmed yet, but stick close to Time Out for all the details just as soon as they are available.
