House of Wisdom Ramadaniyat festival launches in Sharjah

Looking for something special to do for Ramadan 2022? Celebrate Ramadan in Sharjah at the House of Wisdom Ramadaniyat; there’s lanterns, food and night markets to explore.

The House of Wisdom in Sharjah is hosting a Ramadaniyat pop-up with its first-ever outdoor marketplace. The festival runs for ten days until Sunday April 24 with loads of shopping, arts and food to enjoy. It’s open from 8.30pm until midnight and is free to enter.

The House of Wisdom Ramadaniyat festival is being hosted in the outdoor space between the main building and the scroll monument. Browse through 20 vendor booths with exclusive clothing and jewellery by homegrown independent boutiques and designers.

If you’re hunting for family-friendly things to do this Ramadan 2022, the House of Wisdom Ramadaniyat festival is hosting “Little Readers’ Ramadaniyat” with a children’s section where kids can hang out while parents explore the shopping and activities. The area is open from 5pm until midnight and is hosting a programme with STEM subjects, wellbeing, music, literature and more.

The programme offers a variety of activities and experiences for children to enjoy. There are DIY kits with craft tools, toys and products related to Ramadan, which you can purchase for them to work on with the help of the trained facilitators. There are illustrated books in Arabic and early learning toys, too.

The House of Wisdom Ramadaniyat is part of the ongoing Ramadan 2022 programme happening at the House of Wisdom in April. There are creative and educational workshops and activities throughout the month to help kids learn and enjoy Ramadan in Sharjah.

Sharjah is also hosting a huge Ramadan shopping festival to learn more. It’s the largest in the region.
