Get ready for months of arts and cultural experiences at Abu Dhabi’s go-to arts and design centre, Warehouse421.

The Fall 2022 programme is here, and the art destination has gone big with more than 35 talks, workshops and activities that center around caring for the environment and immersing yourself in nature. Best of all, many of them are free to attend.

The latest thrilling progamme is “A Season for Regrounding”, which boasts specially curated events and experiences that explore creative and communal approaches to reconnecting with nature.

Intrigued? You can head over today to become at one with nature. The programme is on now and runs until Sunday, December 25.

The Fall 2022 programme at Warehouse421 has lots to check out. It is presenting two major exhibitions and an extensive public programme that includes exciting culturally immersive food tours; a live home cooking series; photo walks and excursions to ecological sites.

On Sunday October 9, Warehouse421 opens two major exhibitions: ‘On Foraging: Food Knowledge and Environmental Imaginaries in The UAE’s Landscape’, which was first presented at the United Arab Emirates Pavilion in Expo 2020, and ‘Let me tell you something’, the first institutional solo exhibition for UAE-based artist Mohamed Khalid.

The free opening evening activities will include a talk, special artist and curator-led tours of the exhibitions and a live DJ set performance by Eileen Vazquez.

The culture-vulture events and activities continue with a beach clean-up that culminates in a large-scale art installation; a green filmmaking course; a creative meditation workshop around Abu Dhabi’s Mina Zayed.

The new programme also features workshops with sustainable self-care experts such as Dr. Azra, who is known for her creative henna explorations on Instagram, and Rouba Shaath, who owns the sought after homemade soup brand Saboona.

The season will also see fun and educational sessions for children including Woodles and Doodles, where they are invited to embrace doodling as a creative and meditative practice, as well as reading workshops and so much more. An outdoor market called Playing with Nature will bring together locally based artists and creatives to showcase a range of sustainably made products.

Children and families can enjoy food trucks, sustainable shopping, live music performances, and a free flow play area in collaboration with YallaPlay on the weekend of Saturday October 29 to Sunday October 30. That’s your weekend fun sorted.

Furthermore, the programme includes a gardening workshop designed especially for people of determination. The session encourages family bonding and is presented in collaboration with SEDRA Foundation.

If you haven’t yet experienced all there is at Warehouse421, it’s time to change that. Warehouse421 is located in Mina Zayed, and is a stunning architectural building that includes art gallery spaces, studios, an outdoor plaza, permanent art installations, film screening spaces and an art library called the Reading Room. There’s also a specialty coffee shop, Auro café, that serves a wide range of coffees, teas and desserts.

Warehouse421 is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 8pm, leaving plenty of time for learning and discovery.

All Warehouse421 programmes are open to the public, and like we said, most are free to attend. Prices vary depending on the activity so check out Warehouse421 for full details.
