Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) is back for its 2021 edition and it looks bigger and better than ever. The fair will showcase 15 million books, and is bringing 85 writers, artists and creatives together from around the world to celebrate one of our favourite things: literature.
Are you a massive book nerd? We’re talking bookstores are your happy place, authors are your heroes and you have a bunch of beautiful libraries on your travel bucket list (hello, Strahov library in Prague). Yeah, us too.
If you’re anything like us, the Sharjah Book Fair is one of your favourite events each year (we still remember being star-struck by an encounter with Rupi Kaur one year).

The fair is now in its 40th iteration, and is taking place from Wednesday November 3 to Saturday November 13 at Expo Centre Sharjah. There will be a global line-up of authors, publishers and creatives to meet and be inspired by.
That’s not all. There will be 1.3 million unique titles from around the world, many of them appearing at SIBF for the first time. This year’s slogan is “there’s always a right book” and there must be, with so many titles to choose from.
The fair has a whopping 970 events, including cultural sessions, shows, performances, seminars and workshops. Get books signed across all kinds of genres, like poetry, fiction, history, literary criticism, translations, cookbooks, children’s literature, arts, legal research and archaeology, among others.
