Beach Rotana Summer Camp
The summer in Abu Dhabi can be long and hot, but the Beach Rotana are holding nine weekly summer camps to keep little minds and bodies active. It all kicks off on June 30 with Let’s Meet A Friend – a meet and greet week for the kids who have signed up to talk them through what activities they’ll be getting up to over the next two months. Activities over the course of the camp include badminton, basketball, water games, dancing and arts and craft. The camps run Sundays-Thursdays, 9am-2pm. The last camp ends August 29. Kids aged five-12 can join in.

AI Ain Zoo
The hot weather means the zoo in our emirate’s ‘Garden City’ will be changing its opening hours. You can take the kids to their Night Zoo from 4pm-10pm. May is also reptile month at the zoo, meaning your little ones can get up close and personal with 32 different species of cold-blooded crocodiles, lizards snakes and turtles. They will also be holding family movie nights in June.

Teddy Bear Summer Club
This well-known nursery in Khalifa City is holding a summer camp between July 7 and August 15. You can enrol your kids for three, four or five days a week and the camp runs from 8am-1pm (with an option to extend days to 5pm for working parents). Activities on offer include arts and crafts, mini pools play area as well as cooking classes.

Hallabolou
This events company runs summer camps for kids in the nation’s capital from June 30 until August 1. The sessions take place at Bright Beginnings nursery in Al Mushrif and are suitable for boys and girls aged five-11. It will cost you Dhs850 a week (including morning and afternoon activities). The emphasis is on learning, with activities including science, engineering, maths and art.

All Star Kids Day Camps
You don’t get much flashier surroundings in Abu Dhabi than The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Hotel and Resort, who are holding camps from June 30-August 1 and August 15-August 27. Kids aged between four and seven, and seven and 12, can take part. Activities include tennis, movies, singing, origami, kite making and a disco. All children get two T-shirts every week, a cap, lunch and healthy snacks.
