Susur Lee
Country: Singapore / Canada
Bio: Born in Hong Kong, Chef Lee started down the culinary path at the age of fourteen when he became apprenticed for seven years to the Peninsula Hotel, Hong Kong before later moving to Toronto, Canada to pursue his culinary career. Having travelled extensively and being exposed to various culinary traditions, Chef Lee believes that success comes with the continuous acquisition of knowledge. He opened an expansive gastrodome, Susur, in Toronto in 2000 and instantly earned accolades from Food & Wine magazine and Gourmet Magazine. Two years later Chef Lee unveiled a sister restaurant ‘Lee’, and positions the two restaurants as complementing each other.

Claudio Sadler
Country: Italy
Bio: A well-known two-Michelin-starred chef in Italy, Chef Claudio Sadler is one of the founders of ’Jeune Restaurateurs d’Europe’, an organisation that promotes budding young chefs and also the vice president of ‘Soste’, an exclusive association of top restaurateurs. He counts traditional regional recipes as his inspiration. “Cooking for me is like painting pictures,” he adds. And the secret behind his two-star Michelin status? “It is the concept of ‘pleasing the guests’. Some chefs only cook for their guests but I satisfy them.”

Alain Solivérès
Country: France
Bio: Born in the southern French city of Beziers, Chef Alain Solivérès showed an interest in culinary arts from a very young age. He spent nine years at Les Elysées du Vernet in Paris and worked in several distinguished restaurants before winning his first Michelin-star as chef de cuisine for the legendary Alain Ducasse at the gastronomic restaurant La Bastide de Gordes, which is often referred to as the ‘jewel of Provence’.

Ryan Clift
Country: Singapore
Bio: Chef Clift has collaborated with some of the most celebrated culinary experts, including Marco-Pierre White and Raymond Capaldi. He moved to Australia in 1999 and excelled as head chef of Vue de Monde, the most acclaimed dining spot (winning three hats in ‘The Age Good Food Guide’), and then became the chef and co-owner of Singapore’s revolutionary restaurant bar, Tippling Club which, has been hailed as one of country’s top restaurants and listed among the region’s top 100 establishments as Asia’s number one venue.

Anthony Genovese
Country: Italy
Bio: Chef Genovese is one of the owners of Rome’s two-Michelin-starred restaurant, II Pagliaccio. Born in France in 1968, Chef Genovese started his gastronomic career on the French Riviera and his travels across South East Asia and the Pacific Rim have significantly matured his culinary talent, with the Asian influences he absorbed, now combining with traditional Italian cuisine.

Shane Delia
Country: Australia
Bio: At only 32 years of age, Chef Delia is one of Melbourne’s most innovative chefs. At the age of 21, Shane was appointed sous chef of Eleonore’s at Chateau Yering in the Yarra Valley, and then in 2003 he was promoted to Executive Chef. Opening his acclaimed first restaurant Maha Bar and Grill in February 2008, Shane has excited diners with his fresh Mediterranean approach to Middle Eastern cuisine. Receiving chef’s hats in the 2009, 2010 and 2011 editions of ‘The Age Good Food Guide’, and winning the Restaurant and Catering Association of Victoria award for the Best New Restaurant 2008, Delia has a bright culinary future ahead of him with plans to open his second venue St. Katherine’s this year.
