Bright hotel buffet restaurant

The vibrant orange oversized lamps at Choices brighten up what would otherwise be a relatively plain hotel restaurant. Chairs are soft and comfortable, and the centerpiece of the room is of course the buffet. The selection of dishes is small but tasty – seafood salads, butternut squash, chicken biriyani and some succulent fish dishes are some of the more impressive options on offer. For afters, there’s an enormous vat of steaming chocolate pudding alongside some more dainty offerings of mousse and fruit salad. Miss the mascarpone cakes at your peril. On the whole, the food isn’t bad here, but since there’s so little to choose from (ironic, considering the restaurant name) it seems wildly overpriced. There are plenty of better buffets just a short walk away on Yas Island with better value food, more atmosphere and cheaper, so unless you’re an exhausted guest at the hotel, there is little reason to fork out here.
