Getting a reservation at Etoiles may be a nightmare, but you’ll leave all peeves behind as soon as you step into the plush, rich setting decked out with a tasteful degree of bling and lit in burgundy and deep blue colours to give the place a swanky club feel. You need to look the part, though, or risk the wait staff doubting your ability to pay the bill. But if you can look past this, expect fine-dining quality fare, with surprisingly generous portions – an excellent combination in our opinion. We particularly recommend the rich, creamy truffle risotto, which is so good you’ll wish you’d ordered two, but there are plenty of other tasty dishes on offer, including the lamb. If the weather permits, opt to sit outdoors on the terrace, where the welcome addition of music from Etoiles’ neighbouring restaurant adds to the atmosphere.
