Somehow, we always end up over-indulging to a new and more ridiculous extreme over the festive season.
So now that we’ve had our fill of mince pies for the next eleven months, most of us are back to searching for great tasting food that’s healthy as well.
And we’re in luck, as now we have another cool café to add to our list of favourite chilled lunch spots in the capital.
Famous for its fresh food and relaxed vibe, Park House already has successful branches at Kite Beach, Nessnass Beach and XPark Junior in Dubai. So we had high hopes when we heard that it had opened an outlet at Reem Central Park on Reem Island. Open seven days a week from 8am to 10pm, the menu at Park House is full of healthy, high-quality homemade dishes.
We’re firm believers in the theory that you can never have too much avocado on toast, and the eatery’s take on the now ubiquitous hipster-friendly breakfast dish is a real thing of beauty.
If you’re looking for a delicious, super-filling start to the day that’s full of goodness, you can’t get much better than this delightful dish. Topped with an organic egg, chilli flakes, cress and a sprinkling of chia seeds (obviously), we think we might be a bit obsessed.
Other breakfast options include an equally trendy pot of overnight soaked oats and mini pancakes, made with gluten-free flour nontheless. Very healthy. Or, if you’re over on Reem Island at lunchtime, you can enjoy a totally guilt-free (well, almost) meal such as a tuna and cheese melt, or a juicy wagyu burger with salad, cheddar cheese and tomato relish.
The extensive drinks menu includes tasty smoothies and fresh juices, while the 100 percent organic coffee is perfect for a mid-morning pick-me-up.
We also can’t wait to try the famous Park House banana bread and brownies.
If we have a salad first then it counteracts the calories, right?
