Abu Dhabi’s Eclipse Terrace Lounge has launched an exciting new Asian-fusion menu

Great food, views and ambiance are on offer at Four Seasons Abu Dhabi

Give us a plate of tasty snacks, a cool drink and a pretty view to admire and we’re basically the happiest people in the world. So naturally we’re feeling super impatient to go and check out the newly reopened Eclipse Terrace Lounge at Four Seasons Abu Dhabi.

Not only does the cool bar have a stunning new look after it was renovated over the summer, but it also has a new Asian-fusion dinner menu.

The list of offerings looks like just our kind of thing. It’s full of variety, tasty flavours and fresh ingredients, served in a style that’s perfect for sharing.

The menu has been created by executive sous chef Christian Buenrostro, and he recommends trying the poke bowl with tuna, salmon, steamed rice, edamame beans, avocado and macadamia nuts, as well as the signature wagyu sirloin with spicy wasabi mashed potato and caramelised onions.

We’d happily take a portion of both, and other exciting new starters include salmon tataki with ponzu sauce and caviar, and charred sweetcorn salad with pickled onions and tortillas.

Meanwhile, Japanese food lovers will be spoilt for choice with no fewer than 11 different types of tempura, maki rolls, sashimi and nigiri.

We really like the sound of the shrimp rainbow roll, torched wagyu beef nigiri and quinoa avocado roll (we’re predictable millennials, what can we say?).

Then if you’re after something a bit more substantial, the mains include pan-seared sweet and sour sea bass with mixed vegetables and a sesame-crusted tuna steak with a wasabi and avocado sauce.

However, we recommend treating yourself to dessert, too, as the peanut caramel bar with vanilla ice cream and caramel popcorn sounds like the most incredible thing in the world (you’ll burn it off in a second at the gym, don’t worry).

We’re booking ourselves a cabana bed straight away.
Prices vary. Daily 6pm-midnight. Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi, Al Maryah Island (02 333 2444).
