Indigo

Some places are just solid choices for a good feed. Indigo, at Beach Rotana Abu Dhabi, is one of those. The fine-dining restaurant is not one of the more contemporary in this category ― dry ice and fusion flavours don’t make their way into this menu, but nor is it old-fashioned or stuffy. It’s just the right side of formal. Most of the dishes are classics, but there are some with modern twists to keep things interesting. To read the full review click here.

Punjab Grill

Indian food is one of the most popular cuisines out there for all kinds of reasons – there are a lot of regional variations in spices, flavours and ingredients. It’s also a cuisine that lends itself to many different budgets. Here in Abu Dhabi you can have a very tasty and filling Indian feed on a paper plate using plastic cutlery by the side of the road for less than Dhs10 per person, or you can head to one of the high-end restaurants and spend upwards of Dhs250 per person for a meal accompanied by silver service, dry ice and decadent surroundings. Punjab Grill, it should be said, is right at the top end of the spectrum. It has a sophisticated setting at Venetian Village by Khor Al Maqta and has plates of food that are a treat for the eyes as well as the stomach. To read the full review click here.

Tamba

This award-winning restaurant has food that really wows. There’s usually something new on the menu or available at the bar, too, so you can never get bored of the place. The venue is decked out in copper and dimly lit, with an inviting terrace and chilled vibe. To read the full review click here.
