With the Rugby League World Cup 2013 coming to a conclusion in the next couple of weeks, and a host of international rugby union friendlies pitting teams from the Southern and Northern hemisphere against each other until Saturday November 30, the city’s sports bars are throwing open the doors to devoted rugby fans. NRG
Part indoor, part outdoor bar NRG is a fi rm favourite with sports fans, in the most part due to the venue’s many screens and wide range of sports on show. The bar food here is also good, so you can chow down on a burger or some nachos while you take in the action.

Porter’s Pub
One of the bigger pub venues in town and one that is always popular with expats, expect a hearty atmosphere at Porter’s when the rugby is on, especially if England, Ireland or Australia are playing.
