Le Petit Chef in Abu Dhabi

Le Petit Chef returns to The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi

The unique, hi-tech concept, Le Petit Chef, has made “his” way back to the capital for a dining experience unlike any other. Launched in Belgium in 2015, the concept has since travelled to Hong Kong, Shanghai and Saint Petersburg.

It might sound strange, but the idea is that guests are joined at the table by the 3D-animated figure of Le Petit Chef, projected directly onto the tabletop. The bite-sized culinary expert “prepares and cooks” for diners, roaming between dinner plates, chopping and grilling ahead of each dish’s presentation.

This time around, the charismatic Le Petit Chef will present guests with a six-course menu, including an amuse-bouche, two different starters, a sorbet to refresh your palate, a main dish and dessert. The planned menu is inspired by the global travels of Marco Polo.

Like the great traveller, the little chef, too, is said to have embarked on a culinary journey. Following the Silk Road and passing through the Middle East, the mini-gourmand arrived in Asia, before returning to Abu Dhabi to present a themed feast based on “his” experiences. It’ll be a unique event, if nothing else!
