Three exciting new restaurants to open on Yas Island

British celebrity chef Simon Rimmer’s The Scene coming to Abu Dhabi

Yas Marina is going to get three new venues in time for this year’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Two of them are already popular spots in Dubai. Mr Myagi’s is a fun Asian bar and restaurant with eclectic décor and hawker-stand vibes.

The Scene is a British-style gastropub and is run by Simon Rimmer, a regular on UK television.

The third outlet is Casa De Cuba, a Cuban bar specialising in mixed drinks.

It’s thought they’ll open in the space vacated by Café D’Alsace and Rozanah on Thursday, November 22.

All three will be operated by 4-front, the team who are also behind Ghantoot’s La Cala.

Bosses say The Scene will offer the city’s best roast dinner and be perfect for families.

There’ll be craft hops, live acoustic music and a garden area specialising in a certain juniper-based mixed drinks.

For anyone who hasn’t been to Mr Miyagi’s, the approach couldn’t be more different.

The Dubai version certainly isn’t family-friendly, with an emphasis on karaoke, raucous brunches and South East Asian-style cabaret shows.

Casa De Cuba is opening in conjunction with Dinos Constantinides, who’s venue Lost+Found Drinkery in Cyprus is currently ranked number 25 in the world’s greatest bars.

There’ll be music and décor to match the Cuban drinks here in Abu Dhabi.

During the F1 weekend you’ll be able to access all three venues without a pass, but Casa De Cuba and Mr Miyagi’s will both be operating table service, with minimum spends starting from Dhs2,500 for tables of six to eight.

It looks like Yas Marina, and F1 weekend, just got more exciting.
