Abu Dhabi’s Shang Palace launches bargain all-you-can-eat dim sum deal

The menu will include steamed and fried dim sum, as well as vegetarian and noodle dishes

Is there any better way to spend a lunchtime than to sit tossing back dumpling after sweet dumpling of flavoursome dim sum? We don’t think so.

Shang Palace has launched a new dim sum menu, and you’ll be able to scoff as much of it as you like as part of the restaurant’s all-you-can-eat lunch menu – because if you’re not spending your afternoons in a carb coma then you’re doing lunchtimes all wrong.

The dim sum lunch is available daily from noon until 2.30pm for Dhs115 per person, and we’re confident we can get our money’s worth.

The new menu consists of a variety of dumplings, steamed dishes, soups and signature dishes. Dim sum options include crystal scallop with baby spinach, bacon radish cake and crispy shrimp toast.

Vegetarian options on the menu include wild mushroom and green vegetable dumplings, stir-fried kang kong and teriyaki baby spinach and sweet corn pan bun.

There’s also a new range of chef-recommended signature dishes like pan-fried chicken thigh with aubergine, stewed egg cake with shrimp, honey sea bass fish fillet and steamed mussels.

The all-you-can-eat menu also features a selection of rice and noodle dishes such as chinese lanzhou beef hand-pulled noodles and pan-fried homemade rice noodle rolls.

For dessert, Chef He Jia has opted for Sweet Coffee and Matcha Kaya Pao, as well as Mixed Fresh Fruit Jelly with Osmanthus Flower and Fresh Mango and Herb Jelly in Coconut Milk.

We’re planning on stuffing ourselves… and dim sum (sorry, not sorry).
