An exciting new Greek restaurant is coming to Abu Dhabi

Saadiyat Island is set for a new culinary addition

Spoiler alert: we love food here at Time Out Abu Dhabi.

We eat out and about in the city a lot and there’s nothing better than getting to try a new venue.

Bringing something a little different to the capital, Greek restaurant Mazi is set open at The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi, next month (October).

The new venue will be the first overseas branch of the London-based restaurant and aims to share classic Greek recipes with a modern twist.

Serving up innovative dishes, the menu will feature a range of Mediterranean dishes all made with ingredients sourced from Greece.

Husband and wife duo Adrien Carré and Christina Mouratoglou are behind the restaurant and are excited to branch out into the Middle East.

“Our vision is to show the world how innovative, refined and creative Greek food can be. We derive our inspiration from childhood memories and the Mediterranean table, and we reinterpret them with a contemporary twist,” says Christina Mouratoglou.

“The idea is to revive Greece’s sharing culinary tradition in what we like to call a ‘fine-casual’ atmosphere. Our guests can expect to find a fun place to enjoy some great food combined with the intimate service of a fine-dining restaurant.”

The restaurant will be latest edition to the hotel joining Buddha-Bar Beach Abu Dhabi, Olea, Sontaya, and The Drawing Room.
