The return of Champions League football is just around the corner and football fans across Abu Dhabi will be excited to see the best of the best compete at the highest level.
Getting in on the action, providing food to eat while watching any football game, an Abu Dhabi pub has launched some new burgers so you can show your support for the teams while watching the game.
Hemingway’s has launched a total of six new burgers, backing six of the biggest teams in Europe.
During football matches on the weekend and through the week, guests can enjoy one of the burgers and unlimited draft hops for Dhs180.
The combo is only valid during games, but the burgers are available on their own for Dhs39 on Sundays.
So, what’s on the menu?
The Real Madrid burger, Hala Madrid, features a beef patty topped with beetroot, egg, pineapple, aged cheddar, salad, mayonnaise and relish. It doesn’t scream Spain to us, but it is quite the combo. Without the beverage deal the burger will set you back Dhs72.
Chelsea fan? The Stamford Bridge burger features a vegetable patty, mayonnaise, sautéed onions, Swiss cheese and fries. Just what a Londoner desires. This one will set you back Dhs69.
Fancy getting Messi? The Barcelona-themed Catalonia burger features crispy chicken, pickled jalapenos, melted manchego cheese, guacamole and salsa. If you’re not after the beverage deal the burger will cost Dhs69.
Manchester United fans can somehow get in on the action, despite not being anywhere near the Champions League this year. The burger features a beef patty topped with tomatoes, onions, Swiss cheese, mushrooms and bacon. On it’s own the burger will set you back Dhs72.
If Juventus is more to your taste? The Old Lady burger (you don’t have to be an old lady to enjoy it) features a beef patty topped with smoked mozzarella cheese and tomato and basil. If you’re not after the beverage deal the burger will cost Dhs69.
For those following the European Champions? The Liverpool-inspired You’ll Never Walk Alone burger features a beef patty topped with Camembert, truffle mayonnaise, caramelised onion jam and relish. This incredibly swish burger will set you back Dhs85 when order separately from the beverage deal. A concoction enjoyed regularly on the Kop, we’re sure.
