You can try the dishes at Sontaya on Saadiyat Island

We’re never left hungry when it comes to getting great food in Abu Dhabi.

Plus, with pop-up restaurants and guest chefs coming regularly to the capital, we get to try a lot of great food from all over the world.

Sharing a taste of Malaysia, a guest chef has arrived in the capital to share some of the nation’s most popular dishes.

Chef Mohamed Rasit will be cooking at Sontaya at The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort until October 11.

The visit is part of the Taste of Southeast Asia promotion that will see a range of chefs coming to the Saadiyat Island hotel until January next year.

Dishes on offer include laksa, beef rending and satay skewers that you can try during the chefs visit.

Chef Mohamed Rasit, said: “Malaysian food is a hub of different cultures and diverse flavors.

“The cuisine is distinct and vibrant owing to the unique blend of spices and cooking techniques.”

Next chef Phukvarun Watchmon will be in town from November 11 to 16 to cook Thai delicacies, then Chef Wisnu Adityatama will be in Abu Dhabi from December 9 to 13 to cook Balinese dishes and finally, from January 13 to 17, Phuc Nguyen Minh will be at Sontaya to share Vietnamese specialities.
