A Michelin-awarded chef is coming to Abu Dhabi’s Shang Palace

Chef Wai-Yeung will showcase Cantonese delicacies

We’ve been talking a lot about Abu Dhabi Culinary Season over the last few weeks, and one of the best aspects to this series of foodie events is The Tastemasters Series.

Between now and December 6, a line-up of Michelin-awarded chefs will be appearing at a selection of fine-dining restaurants in the city and creating special menus which are available for a limited time only.

Plus, the culinary masters will also be on hand to share some tips on how to improve your own cooking at home.

Interested? Well this week chef Liu Wai-Yeung will be hosting a three-day pop up at Shang Palace from November 21 to 23.

He is coming all the way from the Michelin-starred Shang Palace at Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong, and his eight-course set menu will include amazing Cantonese dishes like deep-fried stuffed crab shell, wok-fried cod fillet with red bean curd sauce and sautéed wagyu beef with asparagus and mushroom.

Chef Liu will be working together with the expert chefs at Shang Palace to create the special feast.

He says: “It’s a true pleasure to showcase our Cantonese traditions and I’m delighted to bring the Michelin-star experience from our restaurant in Hong Kong to the guests and residents of Abu Dhabi.”

The dinner is priced at Dhs258 per person, while the set lunch menu is Dhs158.
