Oktoberfest is back again in Abu Dhabi.
The Bavarian celebration, which incidentally isn’t taking place in Germany this year, has inspired similar events around the world.
Bringing hops, German food and snacks and a large dose of oompah music to the fore, Oktoberfest is a popular celebration every year.
Looking to celebrate in Abu Dhabi? Here’s what going on this year.
Abu Dhabi Golf Club
Abu Dhabi Golf Club is hosting their own Oktoberfest from September 29 to October 30. You can expect lots of hops and German foods including currywurst, schnitzel and more. We wouldn’t be surprised to see some pretzels make an appearance, either. Plus on weekends there will be live performances to enjoy as you fill your stomach. Need more incentive? There are a number of deals including a stein of hops and a snack for Dhs70 and three litre barrels of hops for Dhs210.

Anantara Eastern Mangroves Abu Dhabi Hotel
Oktoberfest is back at Anantara Eastern Mangroves from September 25 to October 4. The outdoor Pool Deck will be transformed into a Bavarian themed destination serving up German hops and treats including chicken schnitzel, sausage platters, pretzels and more. Plus there are deals to be had including buy two pints of hops and get one free for Dhs98 and five hops for Dhs170.

Le Meridien Abu Dhabi
Head to the Village at Le Meridien from October 22 to 31 and you can enjoy all the spoils of Oktoberfest. German hops are available from Dhs25 and you can enjoy a German platter on weekdays for Dhs65 and a German barbecue on weekends for Dhs79.

Radisson Blu Abu Dhabi Corniche
Hemmingway’s Garden is going Bavarian this year for Oktoberfest with special deals on drinks and food. Head to the pub and you can tuck into German sausages, pretzels and more Bavarian special and German hops starting from Dhs24.

Saadiyat Beach Golf Club
The club’s Dolphin Lawn has been transformed into an Oktoberfest arena with traditional German food and a selection of hops. Bottles are either Dhs40 or Dhs45, three-litre towers start at Dhs210. You can also get a German snack and a stein for Dhs70.

The Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort and Spa
From September 30 to October 18, Oktoberfest will be taking over The Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort and Spa. Taking place in The Retreat, you can enjoy the usual spoils including a host of sausages, German potato salad, dumplings, schnitzel and more alongside some traditional Bavarian music over the speakers. Plus German hops will be available for Dhs45 at the event to pair with the traditional food.
