Three places to get a full English breakfast in Abu Dhabi

Go on, we’ll have the works

There’s little more satisfying (or calorific) than a full English breakfast.

Move over granola, it’s not you it’s us, we want to works and nothing else will cut it.

We’re talking sausages, bacon, eggs, toast, beans, mushrooms, everything, got hash browns? Add them? And keep the toast coming too, please.

In the meantime, here are three full English breakfasts to sink your teeth into.

Appaloosa

Grilling and frying up a full English, Appaloosa has you covered all-day long. The sports bar is home to an English breakfast deal that’s perfect if you’ve had a long lie in. On the plate you’ll get your choice of eggs, bacon, sausages, hash browns, black pudding, grilled tomato mushrooms, baked beans and fried toast. Oh, and you can order it until 9pm. Breakfast for dinner, anyone?
Dhs59. Open daily noon-9pm. Marriott Hotel Al Forsan Abu Dhabi, Khalifa City (02 201 4131).

Easy Tiger

Easy Tiger’s full English breakfast isn’t for the faint-hearted, or the small stomached for that matter. Put in an order in advance and get the most epic cooked breakfast in town. With sausages, bacon, fried eggs, toast, beans, hash browns, mushrooms and more, all the bases are covered and then some. The large version is meant to feed four people (though it still seems like a lot) and costs Dhs150. A smaller version costs Dhs80. The choice is yours.
From Dhs80. Open daily noon-4am. Al Ain Palace Hotel, Sheikh Khalifa Street (02 678 0522).

The Retreat

It’s all on the plate at The Retreat if only a full English will do and you have an insatiable appetite. Head along and you can tuck in to all the big guns including sausages, bacon, hash browns, black pudding, mushroom, eggs cooked the way you like them (might as well be fried though right?) as well as tomato and baked beans too. Not bad huh? Maybe it’s best to skip lunch after this one…
Dhs68. Daily noon-3pm. The Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort and Spa, Sas Al Nakhl (02 616 9999).
