Time Out Market Dubai is now open in Souk Al Bahar

Head down now to check out 17 exceptional restaurants, three awesome bars and Dubai Fountain views

The time has come – and you’d better be hungry.

Time Out Market Dubai is throwing open its doors at Souk Al Bahar from 12pm today (Wednesday April 7) – and there’s no time like the present to get yourself down to the city’s hottest new hangout.

There’s absolutely tonnes of exciting stuff to look forward to at the Market – and with 17 of Dubai’s best restaurants under one roof, you’ll definitely be making repeat visits.

Open every day from noon until midnight (and until 1am on Thursday and Fridays), Time Out Market Dubai is spread over a whopping 43,000 sq ft, housing the best home-grown concepts in town – with a whole host of Dubai’s best-known chefs involved.

An all-star line-up includes Al Fanar Restaurant, BB Social Dining, Brix, Little Erth by Nabz&G, Long Teng, Masti, Nightjar, Pickl, Pitfire, Reif Japanese Kushiyaki, Scoopi Café and Vietnamese Foodies.

Piqued your interest? There are also four brand-new concepts too – including: folly Workshop by Nick & Scott, in partnership with Gates Hospitality; Fulvio’s, from Fulvio Opalio, head chef at Orange Hospitality, operators of Il Borro and Alici Dubai; Two Leaves by Project Chaiwala; Local Fire by The Mattar Farm; and Liban by Allo Beirut.

And everything you could possibly want to eat is on the menu. From bao, ramen, pho and dim sum to pizza, pasta, burgers and sandwiches, dishes cover the entire globe. There’s also vegan food, traditional Emirati cuisine, shawarmas, curries and classy European dishes plus coffee and desserts too.

There’s no chance of going thirsty either, with three bars serving a range of mixed drinks and bestsellers from Time Out Markets around the world, as well as a dedicated grape bar – with drinks prices starting at just Dhs35.

Not only is the food outstanding, the Market’s wraparound terrace has one of the best views in town too. Set right in front of Burj Khalifa and the world-famous Dubai Fountain, it’s the perfect spot for photos.

As the best of the city under one roof, it’s not just about the food – there’s some striking art to check out too. The Market is home to an installation from Tarsila Schubert – a Brazilian-born street artist who’s now a UAE resident, and was the first female artist to paint a wall in Amman, Jordan, in celebration of the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Meanwhile Pierre Abboud, who has a Guinness World Record for producing the largest recyclable material mosaic, has created a sculpture for Time Out Market Dubai’s main stage. It’s made from recyclable bottles and will be on show at the Market until live entertainment resumes.

Throughout April there will work on display from Tashkeel artists Victor Sitali, Abdulla Lutfi, Mike Arnold and Chie Nakano, so there’s loads to feast your eyeballs on as well as your bellies.

And when live music and entertainment is up and running again, expect local musicians, comedy shows, poetry readings and more.

Due to current guidelines, the market will open with reduced capacity, with carefully planned social distancing measures in place, while contactless payment is available.
