Time Out lights up Dubai’s Burj Khalifa

Time Out Market Dubai’s launch marked with a display on the world’s tallest building

If you were in Downtown Dubai last night you may have spotted the Time Out lighting up the world’s tallest building. And if you weren’t, we’ve got some photos for you to check out.

On Tuesday April 6 at 8.25pm, Time Out took over Burj Khalifa, to mark the opening of the huge new Time Out Market Dubai in Souk Al Bahar.

The Market is now open in Downtown Dubai and has 17 outstanding restaurants from Dubai’s top home-grown chefs to check out.

There are also three bars, as well as a massive terrace that overlooks Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Fountain.

Open every day from noon until midnight (and until 1am on Thursday and Fridays), Time Out Market Dubai is spread over a whopping 43,000 sq ft, housing the best home-grown concepts in town – with a whole host of Dubai’s best-known chefs involved.

An all-star line-up includes Al Fanar Restaurant, BB Social Dining, Brix, Little Erth by Nabz&G, Long Teng, Masti, Nightjar, Pickl, Pitfire, Reif Japanese Kushiyaki, Scoopi Café and Vietnamese Foodies.

There are also four brand-new concepts – including: folly Workshop by Nick & Scott, in partnership with Gates Hospitality; Fulvio’s, from Fulvio Opalio, head chef at Orange Hospitality, operators of Il Borro and Alici Dubai, Two Leaves by Project Chaiwala, Local Fire by The Mattar Farm and Liban by Allo Beirut.

And as the best of the city under one roof, it’s not just about the food – there’s some striking art to check out too, and when live entertainment returns expect live music, poetry readings, comedy gigs and more.
