A Dhs10,000 cash prize is up for grabs at The ITP Gaming Ignition Cup, with some of the region’s very best Valorant players going head-to-head for their chance to put their e-sports career into overdrive.
Registration for the tournament, which will see gamers attempt to gun down the opposition in the new tactical first-person hero shooter from Riot Games, is now open.
Riot Games were propelled to global fame as producers on the back of their success with League of Legends, a MOBA-style title of which it’s World Championships event became the globe’s most-watched e-sports event, winning multiple Emmys.
Since its release, Valorant has become one of the fastest growing games on the e-sports scene, attracting massive online viewership and the commitment of numerous established professional players from a wide range of competitive backgrounds, as well as emerging discovered talent.
Now, this UAE-exclusive tournament provides an opportunity for 16 teams of five to rise to the occasion over six days of adrenaline-fuelled digital action.
Sponsored by hosts Power Gaming, the Ignition Cup will take centre stage at Dubai’s Sunset Mall from Sunday January 24 to Saturday January 30.
