The UAE is marking its milestone 50th anniversary this year, and the Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers is celebrating the Golden Jubilee in high style with its “Up in the Air” circus afternoon tea experience.
The limited-time event begins on November 11 and will happen every Thursday, Friday and Saturday until December 8 in the Lobby Lounge of Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers. The first show will begin at 1pm followed by a second one at 3.15pm each day. This is much more than the classic afternoon tea because attendees will be treated to live performances from renowned international circuses, including acrobatic stars, ballerinas and dancers at the story-telling afternoon tea experience.
Guests will be fully immersed in the live entertainment as they are seated in a high-ceiled room that allows for the live performers to showcase their incredible talents and play with props such as helium balloons. We hear there will even be tricks performed on a giant helium ball. They don’t call it an “Up in the Air” circus for nothing. Watch the flips, tricks and piano performances while enjoying a traditional afternoon tea, complete with freshly baked scones paired with lemon curd, strawberry jam and clotted cream, and a selection of sandwiches, such as a confit tuna, lemon-infused crème fraiche with caviar pearls and black olive served on focaccia, roasted angus beef with horseradish crème served on an onion baguette.
Finish the unique Golden Jubilee afternoon tea with a selection of desserts, including pistachio panna cotta and orange marmalade macaroons paired with teas.
This is the United Arab Emirates’ 50th anniversary that is being celebrated so the circus afternoon tea is pulling out all the stops with a 50-layer cake inspired by 50 years of United Arab Emirates’ monumental achievements and successes.
The unforgettable afternoon experience for the UAE’s 50th anniversary is Dhs325 per adult and Dhs285 for kids under 12.
