First resort to open on Dubai’s World Islands this month

Anantara World Islands Dubai Resort will welcome guests on Saturday December 18

There’s a brand new resort coming to The World Islands in Dubai and it looks lush.

Anantara World Islands Dubai Resort will open on Saturday December 18. It features its own 2,000 square metre private beach, and is located on the South American continent of the World Islands development.

You might think you’ve done the full lap of all of Dubai’s best hotels (hello staycation season), but think again. This new opening is by luxury hospitality developer Seven Tides and is the first resort to land on The World Islands – a remarkable offshore archipelago of 300 manmade isles four kilometres from the coast of Dubai.

The resort has a total of 70 rooms, suites and villas. Choose between rooms and suites with ocean views and beach access. Spacious villas with private pools take the luxury to the next level.

The island is only accessible by boat, and is just a ten-minute ride from Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort. The development features a gymnasium and a guest pool as well as a series of private infinity pools for those staying in villas.

Foodies can choose between the resort’s five restaurants and bars, with everything from fine dining to chilled-out eats. Qamar is an Indo-Arabian venue with a stunning sea view and seating under chandeliers or the stars. There is also a casual lobby café bar called Grand House, an all-day Mediterranean-style al fresco restaurant, Helios, and a mixed-drink bar for stargazers with a view of the Dubai skyline, Luna.

Anantara signature spa will also open soon, featuring treatment rooms, in-room treatments and spa cabanas. Guests will also be able to enjoy water yoga classes, water sports and the Tuk Tuk Kids’ Club. Add it to your quirky yoga spots list.

The grand opening is taking place on Saturday December 18.
