There are clearly not enough hotels in Abu Dhabi, are there? And another one is being planned that will dramatically change the city’s skyline. A new Arabian-themed Fairmont Hotel is in development, and will be 39 storeys high and feature 563 rooms and 249 serviced apartments. The cost to build it? A cool Dhs1bn. It’ll be situated near Marina Mall and the hotel plans have been likened to the spectacular Atlantis on the Palm in Dubai. No completion date has been announced yet.
