IKEA and Lego have joined forces to introduce storage boxes that double up as toys.
The new Bygglek boxes aim to turn tidying into a game with stud-covered lids that kids can top with their own creations.
The Bygglek storage collection comprises one set of three small boxes, two sets of larger boxes – each with lids and fronts lined with Lego studs – and one set of Lego bricks.
The collection can be used with any LEGO bricks that the little ones may already have and each of the boxes can be stacked on top of one another and secured together with the Lego studs.
The idea is that the kiddos will see tidying up their LEGO sets as being fun and part of the game, which should encourage them to actually want to tidy away their building bricks when they’ve finished playing with them.
No more treading on LEGO pieces then? We can but hope.
